At 6am on October 1st, Elliott Madison's home was raided by federal agents. Madison is an anarchist and was arrested in Pittsburgh at the G-20 Summit weeks prior for Twittering the location of anti-riot police. Wired.com has an article about the case.
I photographed Madison at his home in Queens three weeks after it was raided.
The federal agents busted down the unlocked doors of the bedrooms wielding guns and flashlights. I used a flashlight in this photo to evoke that feeling.
Michael Wallschlaeger is Madison's roommate and was also arrested in Pittsburgh and raided in Queens, although he is not named in the Wired article.

I've shot a couple of employment portraits for The Wall Street Journal in the last few weeks.
After months of unemployment, Jon Evoy landed a job at the Kaplan Thaler Group.
John DiMura was laid off twice in a year, but eventually found a position at a company that manufactures targets for the police and military.

Rausch Magazine in Germany features a 14-page article about God Went Surfing With The Devil in their new issue. They put together quite a creative layout, with plenty of full-page photos by both me and the film's director Alex Klein. We're still working to get the project in theaters but we're thankful to Rausch for helping us share the story.

I worked on two stories for today's edition of The Wall Street Journal. One story is about the proposed ban on smoking in NYC's public parks. The other is about a husband moving away from his wife to take a job in Iraq.
