The National, an English language newspaper in Abu Dhabi, did an interesting feature article about surfers in Gaza. They used photos of key figures I shot in Israel last year while making the film God Went Surfing With The Devil.

Last fall I shot stills for a film called Vodka Wars that just premiered on VBS.tv. We traveled through the The States, France and The UK, Poland and Russia learning about the origins of vodka.

I spent the better part of last week documenting Those About To Die Salute You, Duke Riley's naumachia (a Roman-inspired, mock naval battle) in Queens. It was wonderfully chaotic. A gallery of the event is up on Wired.com as well as a multimedia.

Last Tuesday's Wall Street Journal featured two articles I worked on. The first was an executive workout with former rap record executive Stephen Stoute.

This morning I woke up to two front page photos on The Wall Street Journal for both the top story and the feature. Apparently that rarely happens at WSJ.

I'm happy to have a few photographs in the latest issue of Hamburger Eyes. Issue 013 was released earlier this month and will certainly be a hit.

Last week I spent a day with the inspirational Midge Wilker. One year ago, she was diagnosed with advanced colon cancer. After a deep depresssion, she ended up in a support group that has helped her find meaning in everyday life. With an appreciation for the simple beauty of things she now has the courage to carry on. The story and photos appear in today's Wall Street Journal, including a photo on A1.
